Description:

Wordcircle is an open source web application written in PHP. The application is intended to assist classroom teachers and educators in collaborating with their students. Teachers create courses and provide thoughts, calendar items, files and discussion groups. Teachers can use wordcircle to communicate with their students and take snapshots of student discussions based on text or discussion that take place in or out of a classroom setting. This version supports all features but will be updated as time goes on to incorporate other elements.
